I have used, to a very small extent, BlogDesk, Live Writer, ScribeFire, and w.bloggar. I was using them to write how to articles on them. If you are interested, check out http://www.wikihow.com. I think BlogDesk and Live Writer are the most intuitive. ScribeFire is nice because you can use the right click and blog option.l

Don’t apologise for being a PC guy! I’m a Mac user through and through (actually, I use Macs and PCs all the time)… but I love LiveWriter. It’s the one programme that is 100% better than anything on the Mac… in fact it’s almost (but not quite) enough to make me buy another WinPC…

I’m going to try the portable version of w.bloggar you mention above. Looks promising for when I’m out and about.

I hadn’t heard of these before, so thanks for the share. I utilize WordPress and have found when it comes to scheduling, writing in advance, etc. – it’s a great site for me. I have been a user for over 2 years and love the freedom of being able to write many posts in advance, scheduled to go live when I want.

Hey Phil:

Thanks for sharing this, I wasn’t familiar with blog editors. I like the idea of scheduling posts ahead of time, but haven’t been able to do that too much with Blogger since the preview does not always match what gets published…so I will soon be switching to WordPress. In any case, I will be looking into the blog editors because it looks like they may make life much easier.
