Thanks Randy!

To find something that sticks, play around and see what sticks. Do a poll. Try something. Try ANYTHING. Do some A/B testing with the rest of your brand. If something resonates, go with it for a while. If it doesn't, don't be afraid to try something new.

Last but most important: It has to feel good to YOU! If you say "Randy Dueck - " how does it feel? How does it feel when someone else says it?

Try something and see what happens.

Good luck, and thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for the info Phil. You make some great helpful points. What I want to know is trying to find the right "label" once the vision/mission whatever is created. Some titles may be okay, while other titles may be obscure that nobody really knows what you do. I feel that this a big part of getting to the people you need.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?
OMG! This is the best blog post I have ever read. I've been dibbling and dabbling in self-teaching in blogging and website building (free only) and because I may be the oldest newest newbie ever (what I mean is I've been at this stuff since 2007 maybe 2006 and still I'm learning and confused at the same time) I know way more than I did 5 years ago but still not enough to do what I envision myself doing online. I've followed and studied many great people and still at a stand still but after reading the greatest post ever (yours) and btw for everyone else this is my opinion . I'm am so motivated, and inspired I feel like (literally) passing out from excitement. I have a renewed outlook on my business and my approach; never has anyone ever given me what I secretly desired from a blog post. This post should be a book for sell because I believe this is where I am going to excel, yes from this wonderful post. Everyone else tease with great blog titles then when you read the post, you're mad because you wasted your time. I know I'm rambling but I've said all of that to say I heart you. Thank you thank you thank you.

Phil,

Great stuff. I love how you tie in the use of social media outlets like Twitter and making us think about what we want to be known for.

I've heard of branding and have used it myself. However, you offer solid advice on how to use the Internet and Networking to it's full advantage. What most people need to know is that Networking is the best way to find the best job in the field that you want.

Great job. Keep up the wonderful writing.
