Adventures of VLA – Super V.A.! Utility Belt Tools

Valerie Alba (aka VLA – Super V.A.) is a Virtual Assistant and guest blogger.  Each Tuesday she will provide tools, tips, and tricks direct from her life-saving “utility belt”.

Episode 7: Should you outsource your social presence?

Almost every client and potential client I have spoken with say the same thing, ”I just don’t have the time to keep up with my social media sites”.  The content is there, just not the time it takes to log on and post the updates when the actual business of running the company takes precedence daily.  Don’t underplay the importance or ignore the huge marketing potential of social media.  Consider outsourcing instead.  A virtual assistant can tackle this valuable but time-consuming task for you.

What can a social media virtual assistant do?  Many administrative professionals who provide support services such as document management and event planning via the Internet can also help with recommending the right social media platforms, setting up profiles, finding potential clients and networking groups and maintaining communication with them.

Outsource your social media tasks to a Social Media Virtual Assistant and simplify your life, so you can spend more time focusing on growing your business and increasing your profits.

Episode 5: Get a Life (Coach)

Looking for an edge in your career and in your life?  Answer the following questions:

  • What’s most important to you in life?
  • What’s most important to you in your career?
  • What’s most important to you in your relationships?
  • What are you tolerating in your life?
  • What do you want MORE of?
  • What do you want LESS of?

Life coaches focus on enhancing the lives of clients by balancing or “integrating” one’s life by building a “life blueprint” and creating “action plans.”  Coaches are not therapists or consultants.  Life coaches specialize in areas like relationships, careers or personal growth.  They promise to motivate, offer support and professional and personal empowerment.  The focus is more on the present and future than the past, and more on goals and behaviors than emotions and emotional patterns.  Coaching often takes place over the course of several months, often in half-hour, weekly sessions.  Costs vary widely.
