Fantastic points as always Todd. Two things I took away from your note:

1) Get the basics down GREAT and you can stand out

2) The best is yet to come.

Both are very encouraging news to my ears.

Thanks!

Corinne - as long as you don't fear technology and you keep being willing to try new things, and you do relevant things, you stand a GREAT chance of making a difference. Social media democratizes a lot of the world, and I am excited for what's next.

That being said I hope you'll keep following me, for I plan to keep exploring and keep sharing and learning WITH you about all the new stuff!

Social media is still in its infancy. Heck, it's not even on its legs yet as I still consider the structure of the internet hasn't made it past the toddler years. As long as new protocols and advancement on existing ones continue, there is life aplenty in the internet and social media.

Technology is on the cusp of taking internet and social media use into the every many stage. It's not there yet but on the cusp.

When creating, saving, and sharing video is simple enough that it requires no more than a simple demonstration we'll be there. It's still confusing for even literate folks to record, edit, and share even audio recordings. Why is that? It's too easy to settle for the 80% solution and move on to the next shiny bit of technology.

So wrapping up my rant, social media isn't dead, it's just getting started.
Cheers,
Todd @tojosan

Phil - that video is so overwhelming it is scary.

With that much competition, do any of us who are small bloggers have a chance?

We will have to keep following people like you for direction.
